This is a Lock and Rear Latch for the Lid of an Antique Singer Bent Wood Portable Sewing Machine Case ONLY.NOTE: This lock only fits antique cases that originally have/had flat or square key locks. The center of the keyhole on the lid is 7/8” from the bottom lip. Locks that use “T” keys measure 3/4" and are not interchangeable.It dates from the early 1920's and fits cases that carry Singer models 15, 66, 99, 127 and 128.Singer makes a couple different styles. This style uses the flat key. I have pictured an example of the key. There is NO key. I have also pictured the rear (right side) latch and what the receiver from a base should look like. If you do not have a key, a small flat blade screwdriver will work, but test it before you install it.The lock is in good working order. The metal is discolored on the exposed areas.It comes with all original mounting hardware including the keyhole ring.The lock mounting holes are 2-1/2" apart x 7/16" wide.
